The AHP professionals can develop Safe Operating Procedures for the proper handling of equipment and material that is potentially impacted with TENORM. The procedures shall address:

Donning and Doffing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Testing for radiation levels to include Stop Work Authority
Testing for fixed and removable contamination
Identifying TENORM impacted equipment
Segregating the hot zone from the clean zone
Packaging of TENORM contaminated equipment
Packaging of TENORM contaminated waste
Proper hygiene
